NZ MUSIC MONTH 2024: Theme & Colour Announced

The Music Commission Te Reo Reka o Aotearoa is pleased to reveal this year’s theme and colour for NZ Music Month | Te Marama Puoro o Aotearoa.

‍

2024 is all about AMPLIFYING AOTEAROA | PAOROTIA AOTEAORA and shining a light on those who are the heartbeat of our nation’s music scene. Throughout May we’ll be celebrating everyone who helps amplify music from Aotearoa – emerging local talent and rising stars on the international stage, music fans going to local gigs and supporting their favourite artists, people championing NZ music behind the scenes and those who are taking our music across the motu and the world.

There are some excellent events and initiatives being planned by our friends and partners, with a MusicHelps project to kick of the celebrations and the Aotearoa Music Awards on 30 May closing out the month. More will be revealed in the coming weeks – and we’ll soon be opening up pre-orders for the official NZ Music Month T-shirts … watch this space!
