Enter Venus is the artistic expression of founding member and creative force Erik Graham's love for anti-heroes, horror films and psychology. Best described as 'sinister rock', Enter Venus creates atmospheric, ominous soundscapes replete with rumbling guitars. Dystopian lyrics set a dark tone that is augmented by thought-provoking imagery and electronic beats.
Enter Venus takes a theatrical approach to its music and delivers nothing less on stage. Dolls, mannequins and masks add devilish touches to their performances. "Rock music has grown a bit stale over recent years and could do with some fresh new villainy" according to lead singer and songwriter Erik Graham. He cites 'Nine Inch Nails', 'Marilyn Manson', 'Rob Zombie' and 'IAMX' as inspirations for Enter Venus. An expat South African now based in Auckland, Erik Graham is a busybody in the New Zealand music industry. When he isn't the frontman of Enter Venus, Erik performs and releases other original music under his own name. He is also a member of bands Lounge Apes and Funkadelic Monks, both of which tour New Zealand frequently. Erik owns and operates Headcage Studios, a record label situated in West Auckland.
Enter Venus have ust released their debut signle 'I'm Gonna Getcha' listen here.
