Pōneke / Tāmaki Makaurau pop-rock quartet Hans Pucket  announce their 'Confidently Test Out New Material’ tour for the f̶o̶u̶r̶t̶h̶ fifth time.

With oodles of new music up their sleeves and a sold-out summer run of 'I Don't Know What To Get You For Christmas (Do I Really Love You?)'  7" lathe cuts behind them, the unstoppable team of OliCallumCallum and Jono hit the road this July to warm up the country from the ears down.

Hans Pucket's six-stop tour kicks off Friday July 1st at Auckland's Whammy Bar, with the foursome taking a brief detour North to Leigh before zipping down to Ōtepoti and Ōtautahi, then back up again for Wellington and Te Papa-i-Oea shows.

Presented by Undertheradar & Sports Team

Friday 1st July - Whammy Bar, Auckland
Saturday 2nd July -
Leigh Sawmill, Leigh
Friday 8th July - Dive, Dunedin
Saturday 9th July - The Loons, Christchurch
Thursday 21st July - San Fran, Wellington
Friday 22nd July - The Stomach, Palmerston North

These shows promise all the wonders of Hans Pucket’s four-piece lineup. Callum Passells will bring his saxophone and keyboard wizardry to the group. There will be music from their upcoming album; there will be cool new merch; there will be a moment in the set where Jono Nott plays a guitar solo and everyone claps; Oli will forget some lyrics and try to ask Callum Devlin what they are mid-song.

The band is eager to reacquaint themselves with audiences up and down the country, and introduce new songs with their trademark confidence and pep. They aren’t pushing the boat out too far for this one, they’re just getting back out there and playing their thrilling live set, to a good, keen crowd.

Oliver Devlin: "The good news in pushing the tour back is that we got to add shows in Dunedin and Palmerston North. It's been such a long time coming - I have a feeling these will be very exciting and special shows for us!”

Callum Devlin: "I’m honestly shocked this is happening. Thrilled even. This was originally our October 2021 tour, and I can think of no better time to do it than July 2022."

Hans Pucket bring an energetic and eclectic set of tunes, featuring three part harmonies, solid power-pop riffs and real lyrics. Formed by twin brothers Oli and Callum Devlin, drummer Jono Nott (ONONO, Broods) the band grew out of a love for classic 60s pop, the earnest melodies of musical theatre, and the solid grooves of 70s disco. In 2018 they delivered their debut “Eczema”- a collection of addictive, cleverly crafted and heartfelt jams. Recently expanded to four members with the multi-instrumental talents of Callum Passells, the band is in the final stages of recording their second full length album.

"If you prefer your guitar pop with a wry and personal spin on the human condition, you could do worse than listen to Hans Pucket” - (Nick Bollinger, The Sampler RNZ)
