1860 Band Reborn: Manawatu Jazz and Blues Festival 2025

The 1860 Band is a concert fusion band played by The Neo Fusion Ensemble, revisiting the original 1970-80s band which played regularly at Wellington's famous 1860 Tavern. The band became the nucleus of the Rodger Fox Big Band that toured Europe and the USA. Two of the original members, Geoff Culverwell and Peter Blake, have put together this concert with some of NZ's most respected musicians, including Jacob Randall, Blain Fitzpatrick and Steve Poulton, partly as a tribute to the massive legacy of Rodger Fox.
