All across the globe, people are listening to New Zealand’s music.

For the 25th NZ Music Month, we’re calling on music lovers at home to get involved and Outplay the World by streaming their favourite artists from Aotearoa — and helping get their monthly listeners even higher than their most played global cities during May.

We’ve taken to the streets in celebration of artists including Princess Chelsea, Teeks, Kaylee Bell, Earth Tongue, The Beths, Alien Weaponry, CHAII, Tami Neilson, LEISURE and Balu Brigada — incredible performers who are making waves internationally. These artists are being listened to in cities across the globe — from Los Angeles to Istanbul, Berlin to Bangkok — and in many cases, their biggest audiences are offshore. This month we’re inviting Kiwi audiences to match their global success by outplaying the great streaming numbers they have in cities all around the world.

It’s a time to spotlight homegrown talent, amplify community voices, and bring more of our music to the front — to support local, stream local, see local and buy local.
