11AM - 11.30AM SOUTH ATRIUM & 12PM - 12.30PM GRAND FOYER
Join Auckland Youth Choir for a special set of pop-up performances in two of Auckland Museum’s most iconic spaces: Te Ao Mārama South Atrium, accompanied by the rich tones of the Museum’s Fazioli grand piano, and the stunning acoustics of the Grand Foyer.
In celebration of NZ Music Month, the programme features music by New Zealand composers David N Childs and Te Puoho Katene, along with selections from the powerful soundtrack of the hit NZ film Tinā. The choir will also share highlights from the wider choral repertoire, including works by Bruckner and Duruflé, and settings of show tune Till There Was You, and the African American spiritual Soon Ah Will Be Done.
Don’t miss this chance to experience the vibrant voices of Auckland Youth Choir in these extraordinary spaces.
