Flux is buzzing to welcome back one of Aotearoa’s most electrifying selectors—Poppa Jax for a one-night-only pop-up show on Friday, May 2nd. She’s returning to Te Waipounamu fresh off a stacked run of shows and festival slots, with a pit stop at Flux before heading to Akaroa for Summer Jam!

Since hitting the decks in 2022, the Tāmaki-based Māori DJ has been on a skyrocket trajectory—racking up sets for Boiler Room, Keep Hush, Pxssy Palace, and George FM, while sharing lineups with club titans like Jyoty, Girl’s Don’t Sync, and sim0ne. She’s played massive stages like R&V and Promiseland, fronted campaigns for JD Sports, and is now gearing up to take things global with a Europe/UK tour in the works for 2025.

Dubbed “New Zealand’s Queen of the Club” by Complex AU, Poppa Jax is known for high-energy, genre-flipping sets that blend hip-hop, edits, nostalgic chaos, and global club heaters with surgical precision.Whether she’s commanding the room at her monthly club night Poppa’s or sending the internet into meltdown, she’s one of the most dynamic forces in the scene right now—and we’re hyped to have her back in the building.
