May Music Month - Manawatū Scottish Youth Pipe Band

Under the expert direction of musical director Stuart Easton, the Manawatu Scottish Youth Pipe Band was established in April 2024.

Despite its recent inception, it has quickly become one of the fastest developing bands in the country and has enjoyed success winning the Juvenile competitions at Square Day and the Wellington Centre Contest.
As part of the larger Manawatu Pipe Band organisation, which is one of the largest piping hubs in New Zealand, the youth band offers expert tuition to its members.

These young musicians have the opportunity to perform at local events, including parades and concerts, and compete in pipe band competitions across New Zealand. The band provides a fun and safe environment where kids can flourish and develop their musical talents.
