BEONY Unveils Emotional New Single ‘Feeling Won’t Die’ in Collaboration with Producer EDY

BEONY’s highly anticipated single, ‘Feeling Won’t Die’, captures the raw emotion of navigating the aftermath of a once-meaningful relationship that refuses to fade.

Written and produced in 2023, the track was brought to life through the Asians In Music Sandpit (AIMS) programme, which connected BEONY with his mentor EDY, a renowned producer who also mixed and mastered the track. Funded by the programme as part of its mission to support and elevate emerging Asian artists in Aotearoa, the project reflects a powerful blend of cultural identity and emotional storytelling.

Co-written by BEONY, EDY, and acclaimed artist Sam V — who also contributed to the song’s topline — ‘Feeling Won’t Die’ blends lush, cinematic production with raw, introspective lyrics. It explores the lingering weight of a relationship that, even after ending, still shapes how you feel, love, and move through the world.

The song draws on a strong cultural connection between two people who grew up as first-generation Koreans in New Zealand — bonding over similar life experiences, music, and a mutual understanding of what it means to grow up between cultures. These shared moments added a depth to the relationship that made its end even more difficult to let go of.

EDY’s atmospheric production elevates the emotional intensity of the track, capturing the push and pull of love, memory, and emotional burnout. ‘Feeling Won’t Die’ reflects the quiet truth many can relate to: sometimes, the hardest part isn’t the breakup — it’s learning how to live with everything that still lingers after.

‘Feeling Won’t Die’ is a reflective exploration of how the past continues to linger, even when we try to let go. It’s a testament to the enduring emotions that shape our relationships and our personal journeys.

‘Feeling Won’t Die’ will be available on all major streaming platforms from May 23.
