A Bold New Event Takes Over the Street on May 3 // 12- 6pm

Auckland, Aotearoa – Get ready for a full-sensory takeover of Karangahape Road as FAM — Food. Art. Music. — launches its first edition on Saturday 3 May, from 12PM to 6PM. This bold new event will transform the iconic street into a pulsing celebration of Aotearoa’s finest music, food, fashion, and creativity.

From Open Café all the way to Symonds Street, Karangahape Road will become a stage for the city’s most electric talents. Curated by music tastemaker Matthew Crawley, the first FAM edition features three main stages with a stacked lineup including Love Square, Bloodbags, The Ideas, and the genre-blending brilliance of Ersha Island 二沙岛, with even more acts to be revealed.

But the music is just the beginning.

Expect dazzling performances and immersive experiences for all ages:

●  Flying Out Records DJs spinning crowd-pleasing sets

●  The iconic Drag Queens of Karangahape

●  Small Rave’s kids drumming activation – a hands-on musical experience for tamariki

●  Plain Janes Disco & Sausage Sizzle for the groove (and grub) lovers

●  A new collection launch party for fashion label  - The Keep

●  Celestial Markets bringing local makers, artists, and vendors to the streets

●  Dienekes’ Neighborhood TV Channel – a hyper-local video portal screening a curated program of Karangahape Road-inspired short films and stories
