Petit ChouX Announces Debut EP Coule, Out May 19

French-born singer-songwriter Petit ChouX is set to release her debut EP, Coule, on May 19, a deeply reflective work that invites listeners to dive into the ebb and flow of emotion and impermanence.

The EP will be available on all major streaming platforms, and a video clip to accompany the release is coming soon.

In Coule, Petit ChouX explores the idea of our "inner waters" — the deep, often unspoken currents of our being. The title, meaning "to flow" or "to sink" in French, reflects the delicate balance between surrender and strength. Water, the essence of life, serves as both a symbol of vitality and impermanence. It flows freely, shapes our world, yet is constantly changing — just as emotions and moments in life do.

With minimalist arrangements and intimate storytelling, Petit ChouX’s voice and guitar lead the listener through a series of poetic, vulnerable songs. Her French roots infuse the music with a sense of romance and timelessness, while the subtle layers of indie folk and ambient sounds provide a contemporary, evocative backdrop.

Coule is a celebration of letting go, of letting the waters of our inner selves flow without resistance, embracing both the beauty and the transience of life. The EP will be followed by a series of live shows in June (venues to be confirmed), where Petit ChouX will bring the EP's meditative atmosphere to the stage.
