The Lower North Island alternative rock quartet pick up where their 2024 debut EP left off with a blistering new single, ‘Not Awake’.

Harnessing crunchy guitars, fuzzed out Fender Rhodes and soaring harmonies, the band demonstrate their louder edge with this 2-minute, 2-chord anthem. The track was engineered and mixed by Harry Lilley at Palmerston North’s The Stomach in March 2025, with additional recording completed in Wellington with Fraser Williams and is the first single from an album due for release later in the year. 

Hitting the road in June, Pining Radiata are visiting Wellington and Tauranga and joining forces with Christchurch’s HOIHOI to play regular haunts Whanganui and Palmerston North. Be sure to catch these live shows to hear the forthcoming album tracks in full swing.
