Recorded live at The Surgery at the hands of esteemed engineer Lee Prebble, this single perfectly encapsulates their high energy instrumentation and musicianship.
Consisting of some familiar faces you may recognise from the Cuba Street busker sensations Mel Stevenson, as well as various other projects in WLG, Star Time is an all new emergence, linking with the experiences of fellow African musicians Francois Judah (lead vocals) and Modi Shemmi (percussion).
Star Time’s contagious on-stage energy and personality quirks tend to leave audience members stunned and begging for more, not to mention the urge to dance at their shows is stronger than life itself. Rhythms hit like fireworks, locking hips and feet into motion whether you planned to move or not. Star Time doesn’t just play a show—they unleash a euphoric, full-body experience that lingers long after the final note.
To celebrate their debut single release, Star Time are playing a show at Wellington’s most iconic DIY venue at 13 Garrett Street on the 24th of May 2025. Get your tickets now via UnderTheRadar.
