True North is the new music collaboration from songwriter/musician, Tones Thorburn, following on from his previous projects, Stormporter and Late Model European.

'No Exit Wound' is a passionate debut that captures a powerful mix of resilience and introspection. Driven by soulful, mixed-gender vocals, the track delivers a groove-laden sound infused with emotional intensity, leaving listeners immersed in its evocative mystery.

Produced by revered Producer, Ben King, and graced with the musicianship of some of NZ’s finest, 'No Exit Wound' showcases True North’s authentic sound, crafting a musical landscape where passion meets poetic storytelling.

Featuring, Tones on vocals and guitars; Matthias Jordan (Pluto, Come Together) on piano, electric piano and organ; Milan Borich (Pluto, Come Together) on drums; Ben King (Goldenhorse, Grand Rapids) on bass and backing vocals; Sandy Mill (Sandy Mill, The Bellbirds, Basement Jax, to name a few) on vocals; and introducing Edith and Clementine Bainbridge-King on percussion.
