Community radio station Beagle Radio 88.1FM is closing out New Zealand Music Month — Te Marama Puoro o Aotearoa — with a live gig at The Woodshed in Whangarei on Saturday 30 May, bringing together some of Northland's diverse musical talent.

Throughout May, Beagle Radio has been running a series of live in-studio sessions as part of its New Zealand Music Month programming, hosting local musicians for intimate performances and conversations on air. The sessions, which have aired on alternating Fridays and Saturdays across the month, have shone a light on the depth and diversity of music being made across Te Tai Tokerau — from emerging artists to established local favourites. The gig on 30 May marks the culmination of this programming, celebrating the talent that Beagle Radio champions year-round.

The evening's lineup reflects the breadth of Northland's creative community. The show opens with a performance from the Huanui College Kapa Haka rōpū, before folk rock outfit The Advocators take the stage, followed by Waipu punk rockers Fork. Between sets, Beagle DJ Netti Page will set the tone with soul selections, and DJ Jasper Lindsay will close the night with a celebration of Aotearoa music. The entire event will be broadcast live on 88.1FM and streamed online at beagleradio.co.nz, making it accessible to listeners across the region and beyond.
