Kaylee Bell Releases Two New Singles ‘Me For Me’ & ‘Once In A Lifetime’

Today, Kaylee Bell releases her new double single - ‘Me For Me’ and ‘Once In A Lifetime’ - both of which were performed live for the very first time at the landmark first concert at Christchurch's brand new One New Zealand Stadium in front of a sold-out crowd of 37,000 people.

‘Me For Me’, written by Bell alongside Navvy and Tom Jordan, is accompanied by a music video shot in Queensland with Cowgirls Australia. ‘Once In A Lifetime’ was written by Bell, Navvy and Josh Naley as a personal memento of the historic stadium opening night in her home region of Canterbury, with the music video filmed live at the show itself - a time capsule of the moment captured forever on film & soon to be released.

OfMe For MeBell says: “We wrote it over summer while Navvy was back from London, where she is a full-time songwriter, and Tom was back from Nashville, and we wanted to write a love song that was about waiting for your person so that you're not settling for less. It's basically about finding your person later in life after waiting - something a lot of my friends and females I know relate to. That age old story of these days you are better off being on your own instead of settling so you don't get disappointed.”

Of ‘Once In A Lifetime’ Bell says: “I wanted something to mark the night - something that would outlive it. The song and the video together are a time capsule - a moment in time we can hold onto forever.”

The stadium show marked one of the most significant moments of Kaylee’s career to date - performing in the region she grew up in, to a crowd that included family and friends from childhood, all whilst flying the flag for country music on a mainstream stadium bill.

This Sunday, Kaylee will be inducted into the NZ Gold Guitar Awards Hands of Fame at the Tussock Country Music Festival in Gore - one of the most significant honours in Aotearoa country music. The Hands of Fame, established by the Gore Country Music Club in 1992, recognises individuals who have made outstanding contributions to country music in New Zealand, with Bell's handprint joining a distinguished list of inductees including Tami Neilson, Jodi Vaughan, Kylie Harris and The Warratahs. The Gore Gold Guitar Awards themselves - the biggest and most prestigious country music event in New Zealand - have a storied sister city relationship with Tamworth, New South Wales, which also holds its own Hands of Fame walkway.

Of this incredible honour, Kaylee said, "To be inducted into the Hands of Fame in the same week we lost Dame Jools Topp - who this year received the Country Music Honours for her contribution to New Zealand country music - makes this moment bittersweet in the most profound way. There are so many incredible female artists who have come before me and paved the way. I hope to honour their legacy by continuing to lead the charge."

Next week, Kaylee heads to Nashville for CMA Fest, where she performs on Thursday June 4 before taking to the CMA Close Up Stage on Saturday for a special talking engagement hosted by Apple Music Country's Ty Bentli. The session - ‘Borders: Making Nashville Home’ alongside artists Gareth and Owen Riegling - brings together artists from around the world who risked everything by moving to Music City in pursuit of their dream. Bell is the first Australasian female artist ever to be featured in this way on the Close Up Stage.

2026 also marks Kaylee's 16th year attending CMA Fest, having first made the trip to Nashville in 2010.

Still holding the title of Australia and New Zealand's most streamed female country artist for the past five consecutive years, Bell is currently based across three continents - New Zealand, Australia, and the United States - with recent forays into the UK and European markets marking the next frontier in her journey toward becoming a truly global country artist.
